The annual People's Choice Awards were held at the Nokia Theatre in L.A last night, (Jan 11) with stars of music, film and television picking up gongs at the prestigious event.

Demi Lovato, who performed during the evening, was among the winners. Miley Cyrus was also in attendance with her boyfriend Liam Hemsworth, as was Vanessa Hudgens.

Other winners in the world of pop included Katy Perry, Rihanna, Taylor Swift and Bruno Mars. Unfortunately they couldn't attend.

The film and television industry was well represented though, with Morgan Freeman picking up the Movie Icon award and How I Met Your Mother winning best Network TV Comedy. Glee's Lea Michele won Best TV Comedy Actress.

Crazy, Stupid Love's Emma Stone won Best Comedic Movie Actress, while Chloe Grace Moretz won Favourite Actress Under 25.

Kelly and Sharon Osbourne also came to the red carpet event.
