Girls Aloud have confirmed that they are reuniting for their 10th anniversary and will be embarking on an arena tour in 2013.
Cheryl Cole, Nadine Coyle, Kimberley Walsh, Nicola Roberts and Sarah Harding held a press conference in London this afternoon at The Corinthia Hotel, where they announced their reunion plans which includes a 12-date arena tour.
Cheryl said of the reunion: "We're really excited. It feels like nothing has changed".
Nicola added: "It's worked out really nicely that it's our 10th anniversary year."
It has been 10 years to the very day since the girls all appeared on TV talent show Popstars: The Rivals.
Girls Aloud went on to have 20 consecutive top 10 hits between 2002 and 2009.
As one of the most successful girl bands of all time - they even have a Guiness World Record for most successful reality show band - the girls went out on a high, with five top 10 albums and a Brit Award for 'The Promise' in the 'Best Single' category.
Speculation about the return of Girls Aloud began ten days ago when a countdown clock appeared on the bands website.
The comeback single 'Something New' was leaked on Tuesday, prompting it to be unveiled earlier than planned.
The girls will first perform the new track on November 16 as part of Children In Need.
Fans who pre-order the greatest hits album Ten, this weekend, will also be given the chance to buy concert tickets before they go on sale to the public.
