Miley Cyrus has revealed exactly how her handsome beau Liam Hemsworth proposed to her earlier this year.

During her appearance on The Tonight Show with Jay Leno, Miley told the host that Hemsworth popped the question at her house.

The 19-year-old singer was recording one of her ‘Backyard Sessions’ and performed the song ‘Lilac Wine’.

Not long after that performance she was engaged!

Cyrus told Leno: “About 20 minutes after that song — it’s one of Liam’s favourite songs — he asked me to marry him.

“I had no idea! He was sitting there and I’m like, ‘He’s looking at me funny!’ And then I knew.”

Cyrus also spoke about her guest spot on US hit sitcom Two and a Half Men and revealed she found it "creepy" to have to kiss co-star Angus T. Jones.

She said, "It was kind of weird because when I was doing it, the prop guy and all these people are like, 'Do you have your ring on?'

"I'm like, 'This feels weird taking my ring off to make out with Angus. This is creepy'... But it was fun."

It was recently reported that Miley and Liam haven't set a wedding date yet so she can focus on her music career.
