Tulisa Contostavlos has admitted that she prefers high street fashion to designer labels and says she appreciates Little Mix for having a "funky" style.
The N-Dubz singer and X Factor judge admitted to Look magazine that despite designing her own fashion range, TFB, and being able to afford designer gear she is still a champion of the high street:
“I wasn’t really interested when I was in N-Dubz, but now I have me favourite labels. Ted Baker, Lipsy, Karen Millen and River Island are my top picks”.
She continued, stating: “My style? There are two sides to it – young, fresh and glam and urban, edgy and pop. In the past year since going solo I’ve started finding myself when it comes to fashion”.
The ‘Young’ singer admitted she rarely looks at other women’s fashion style, apart from Little Mix, the band she mentored to victory in last year’s X Factor.
“I’ve never really looked at other women like that – Little Mix are the only ones where I think, ‘Oh, I love what she’s wearing’. They have a really funky fashion sense”.
Tulisa finished by saying, fashion is an expression of herself and she would never change the way she dressed for a man:
“There are no rules. I don’t dress to impress, I dress to express myself”.
