Adele has premiered her new single 'Skyfall', the theme track for the forthcoming James Bond movie of the same name.
The 24-year-old co-wrote the ballad with Paul Epworth, whom Adele worked with on her Grammy award-winning album, 21. 'Skyfall' debuted first on French radio on Thursday before hitting UK airwaves at 0.07am this morning - an ode to Bond's nickname 007.
The track's release marks the 50th anniversary of the first ever James Bond movie, Dr No, which went on to spark the biggest Hollywood franchise in history. Adele recently admitted that she was hesitant to record 'Skyfall' due to the pressure that comes with singing a Bond theme tune.
"It was also a lot of fun writing to a brief, something I've never done which made it exciting," Adele said.
"I'll be back combing my hair when I'm 60 telling people I was a Bond girl back in the day I'm sure."
