Guitar god and hardcore rock legend Slash believes Adele is the lifeline the music industry needs, describing the Grammy award-winner as "a shot in the arm."
In an interview with the Independent, Slash - who was named the second best guitarist in the world after Jimi Hendrix by The Times - spoke frankly about British female musicians, and revealed his love for Adele.
"She's great. She's a shot in the arm for this industry," Slash told the publication.
"She writes her own music that's not at all contrived. And she's managed to sell loads of records which makes her a great example to the younger artists."
Slash also compared Adele to the talents of the late Amy Winehouse, who also used pured her heartache into her music.
"Like Amy Winehouse, she's organic and real. It's great to have that happen at this moment when everybody else is so synthetic."
Adele continues to the rise toward omniscience having recently confirmed she will be following in the steps of Jack White and Alicia Keys in recording the official James Bond theme music for Skyfall.
The track will premiere in full on October 5 and you can listen to a preview here.
