Xtra Factor host Olly Murs says he provided a shoulder to cry on for his co-host Caroline Flack, who went through a "tough time" after her split from One Direction's Harry Styles.
The ‘Heart Skips A Beat' singer told New! magazine that Caroline struggled with the backlash she received as a result of her controverisal romance with 18-year-old Harry, and while he offered her support, he had to be fair to both sides as he is friends with Harry and Caroline.
"We just get on really, really well and I’m always there for her if she needs me. If she ever has any problems or if she’s upset," Olly told the magazine.
"It was a tough time for her but I’m friends with Harry as well and I didn’t want to get involved too much."
When asked if it would be awkward or uncomfortable for Caroline if One Direction perform on the show, Olly replied: "I'm sure Caroline would be fine. She’s very thick skinned and I’m sure she and Harry have spoken since their split."
The chemistry between Olly and Caroline has been sizzling since they first began presenting the Xtra Factor a year ago. Olly admits that they "flirt a lot anyway, but it never got to the point of us kissing or going out. And obviously Harry was dating her at the time anyway!"
Does that mean romance might still be on the cards Olly?
