'Fireworks' singer Katy Perry has climbed a volcano, after apparently having taken inspiration from Elizabeth Gilbert's post-divorce memoir, Eat, Pray, Love.

It seems the 27- year-old pop princess has decided to put her love-life on hold to concentrate on achieving spirital happiness, as she tweeted a photo of herself on Wednesday having achievied the feat, captioning it with:
''I ate, I prayed, I climbed a volcano,'' referring to the title of the popular novel, which was eventually adapted into a Hollywood movie in 2010.
In the photo, the brunette beauty is seen with her arms spread out, wearing leggings, a hooded sweatshirt and backpack.
Tweeting on Monday (Sept. 17), Perry wrote: ''Getting some s**t out my chakras! #eloquent (sic)''
Just two days earlier, she wrote:
''Starting my day with a group meditate #breakfastofchampions (sic)''
Meanwhile the singer has signed up to perform at a fundraising concert for US President Barack Obama, featured as one of several musicians lined up to perform at the '30 Days to Victory' concert in Los Angeles' Nokia Theater on October 7.
