Chris Brown has been forced to deny that he has tattooed a haunting image of an abused woman on his neck, and has also shot down speculation that the woman in question is his ex-girlfriend Rihanna.
Fans were shocked to see Chris' new image which he debuted earlier this month, and many were quick to assume that he took inspiration from the image of Rihanna's battered and bruised face that circulated in the weeks after he assaulted her in 2009.
However, Chris' publicist has been forced to clarify exactly what the image is amid backlash the singer has received.
"His tattoo is a sugar skull (associated with the Mexican celebration of the Day of the Dead) and a MAC cosmetics design he saw," his rep told TMZ.
"It is not Rihanna or an abused woman as erroneously reported."
Chris and Rihanna are said to be reconciling following their hug and kiss at the MTV Video Music Awards last week.
