Rebecca Ferguson is being sued by her former management for breach of contact, just months after she embarked on a Twitter rant slamming the company.
The former X Factor runner-up left Modest management in June and subsequently launched a Twitter rant branding them "greedy vermin" and "vile."
According to BBC News, Modest are accusing Rebecca of unlawfully ending her deal with the company after signing a five-year contract in 2010. Modest claim to have email proof of Rebecca terminating the contract and are now seeking 20% of the 'Heaven' singer's future earnings in damages.
"I am really unhappy with how I have been treated by you over the last couple of months and how miserable I have become," Rebecca's email is said to have read.
"The deterioration of my health has not been relevent (sic) to you until this week when it reached another low point."
"I have lost all faith and trust in you as managers so I have no option but to terminate our working relationship with immediate effect."
The company's lawyers reportedly replied to accept her "renunciation and repudiation of the management agreement" but Rebecca said she "did not accept" the interpretation.
