Rihanna has paid tribute to her beloved late grandmother, who passed away in July after a long battle with cancer, by getting a tattoo likening Gran Gran Dolly to a goddess.
The 'Princess of China' singer, who last night performed at the London 2012 Paralympic Closing Ceremony, uploaded a revealing snapshot on Instagram of the tat etched on her chest between her breasts.
The photo shows the singer holding her arm across her bare cleavage for modesty, as the inking portrays a large image of the Egyptian goddess Isis, who is seen kneeling with her wings spread and spanning across Rihanna’s ribcage.
The 24-year-old captioned the picture with: ''Goddess Isis - Complete Woman - Model for future generations - #GRANGRANDOLLY - always in and on my heart.''
The ancient goddess Isis is said to be "the ideal mother and wife' as well as friend to slaves, sinners and the downtrodden."
RiRi is said to have gotten the tat, which is her 18th, done in London’s Soho, where she was later seen flashing her midriff in a crop-top revealing the cling film and masking tape used to cover the fresh inking.
What do you make of her her new body art addition?
