The Wanted have penetrated the US Top 10 for the first time, breaking a record in the process.

The Billboard Hot 100 takes airplay and sales into consideration, and sees our own home-grown ladband rocket from No. 23 to No. 5.

The accomplishment beats the No. 7 peak achieved by Take That way back in 1995 to become the highest position in the chart for a British boyband ever.

Also this week, Kelly Clarkson's 'Stronger (What Doesn't Kill You)' returns to No. 1 after a week at No. 4, whilst Katy Perry swaps places with her.

Adele's 'Set Fire To The Rain' continues to prove popular as it holds firm at No. 2.

On the albums chart, Whitney Houston has three records in the albums Top 10, and Adele notches up her 22nd week on top with 21.
