One Direction seem to be in competition with Justin Bieber for the craziest fans ever!
The fab five are set to perform at Sheffield Arena and fans were ready to do anything to get their mitts on those tickets... including set up camp outside the ticket office for NINE hours.
Sixteen year old Charlotte Burgess explained that the girls, despite being there all night, definitely found the whole thing worthwhile:
"I tried to get tickets for their last tour but they had all sold out. There was no way I was going to miss out again so I camped outside the ticket office for nine hours... we kept each other company [and] we had sleeping bags and a flask of tea to keep us warm through out the night."
250 tickets for the concert went on sale at 9am and, just three hours later, they'd all sold out. When's the concert, we hear you ask? The 19th March... 2013!
The late night vigil for tickets may seem crazy to some but, to One Direction fans, it was a chance to prove to the band how much they adore them! Banners were strewn throughout the queue and One Direction music was pumping out into the night air. There's nothing like a sing-along to really make a camping trip complete, is there?
Despite the sell-out gig, less on-the-ball fans needn't worry; One Direction have added an extra tour date to Sheffield Arena. It's the perfect way to make sure you have that One Thing every fan needs; a chance to see the gorgeous lads live!
