Lady Gaga has attacked NME magazine for labelling her album ‘Born This Way’ ‘pretentious’.
The ‘Marry The Night’ singer’s second album was named the ‘most pretentious record ever’ by the magazine. ‘Born This Way’ has sold over eight million copies worldwide and reached number one all over the world.
The music magazine said the three key elements were a “groan-inducing concept, lots of highfalutin waffle, and a ridiculous cover”.
Lady Gaga didn’t seem to appreciate the blog post, which featured two Lou Reed albums in the top ten list, and hit back on twitter.
She said: "Oh the irony of winning "Most Pretentious Album Ever" from none other than NME. *eyeroll* I might laugh forever + then return to narcissism."
The 25 year-old has been given a rough ride by the magazine and may have to endure more ridicule next week at their award ceremony where she is up for ‘Villian Of The Year’ and ‘Worst Album’.
We reckon after this spat she is a shoe in.
