One Direction have certainly made their mark in the US - 'What Makes You Beautiful' has pulled off the highest debut for a British artist in the US charts since 1998.
The track debuts at No. 28 in this week's Billboard Hot 100, the best numbers achieved by one of our own artists' debut singles in the States since The Verve bowed at No. 13 with 'Bittersweet Symphony' nearly 14 years ago.

What's more, the Brit Award-winning hit is expected to soar even higher over the coming weeks, as it hasn't even been officially sent to US radio stations for airplay yet.
The Wanted are also doing well, as 'Glad You Came' climbs from 25 to 23. Even better, the song is now No. 5 on the nation's iTunes chart following a performance of the song by the Glee cast.
Tom Parker said: "Unbelievable stuff!! I won't lie.. I feel quite emotional."
So... can 'What Makes You Beautiful' leap-frog 'Glad You Came' in the next few weeks? Which boyband will be the first to score a US Top 10 hit?
And, more importantly, when are JLS going to join the party?!
