George Michael Appears At Brit Awards 2012

And he's definitely looking like he's well on the mend...

George Michael's appearance at the Brit Awards may have been overshadowed by the Adele scandal, but we definitely noticed the former Wham singer!

The 'Club Tropicana' singer made a shock return from Australia to present Adele with the Best Album award and he definitely had the crowd surprised!

Looking healthy, well-groomed and as gorgeous as ever, he told audiences that he couldn't stop himself returning from Down Under to give Adele her gong:

"I'd just like to say I've been asked to come to this event for the last 17 years and I happen to live just up the road, but this time I know who wins and I had to come back from Australia."

Wasn't that lovely? Sure, people are a little upset that he fluffed his lines a little, but we couldn't care less. We're just happy he was there and Adele certianly was too; the Rollin In The Deep singer rushed up on stage to give him a huge hug.

The pair probably felt something of a bond with one another; both Adele and George Michael have been subject to career-threatening illnesses in the last few months and, thankfully, both have bounced back smiling.

The 'Careless Whisper' star has already informed Twitter followers that he's working on some new tunes:

"People, I'm excited....just finishing a ballad that I think is going to make you think my eighties self has been re-born which I suppose it has in a way... Even my tracheostomy scar is healing nicely in the sun, was looking a bit Bride of Chucky for a while. Spoke to doctors before I came away and they told me my recovery is way quicker than can usually be expected so I'm happy as Larry!"

We couldn't be happier for you George, it's great to have you back where you belong...

It just proves that, with a little faith, George Michael can overcome anything!
