Ed Sheeran was the unexpected triumph at last night's BRIT Awards, scooping not just one but TWO prestigious gongs.

Ed Sheeran took home the awards for British Breakthrough Act and Best Male Solo Artist at the BRIT Awards last night, seeming utterly taken aback and lost for words every single time. There's nothing we love more than a humble hero.

And the singer seemed genuinely grateful to his fans for recognising his success, stopping to thank his manager for turning him into a musical star:

"[Stuart Camp turned the] spotty, chubby, ginger teenager into the person up here tonight."

Bless him!

And, even better, the star immediately took to Twitter to thank his fanbase for placing him on the musical map:

"Had the most amazing night, thank you all so much for everything."

The bashful success story performed Lego House, much to the delight of the crowd, and lost a great deal of his shyness as he did so. Comfortably dressed in an electric green tee and jeans (a far cry from his blue suit later!) the singer definitely took our breath away, causing record labels to predict a massive surge in Sheeran sales today.

 Lego House was definitely one of the best performances of the night...
