One Direction may have beaten Ed Sheeran to the award for Best British Single, but that doesn't mean the fab five aren't utterly bowled over by the Lego House singer...
One Direction and Ed Sheeran may not be the most obvious collaboration we've ever heard of, but it's one that we're definitely interested in seeing coming about.
The five gorgeous teens have revealed that they want Ed Sheeran to get involved in the writing and creation of their second album, as they feel it will give them a "grungier" edge on the rest of today's musicians.
Liam Payne told the Daily Star that the band definitely want to write their next album with Ed's input:
"Ed is such a talented guy. We spoke to him about helping again for the next album, which we want to actually write with him this time... He gave us almost a whole album of songs to choose from last time; there were so many of his songs that we wanted to record."
It wouldn't be the first time the guys have worked together; Ed Sheeran actually contributed to the boys' best-selling debut album, adding one of his songs to the deluxe edition.
Fingers crossed Ed has the time; he's already expected to do some work with Jessie J this year!
No wonder One Direction's 'What Makes You Beautiful' scored Best British Single; just check out the gorgeous guys' fanbase...
