Blur definitely stole the show at last night's Brit Awards and it seems as if their exuberant performance was a definite sign of things to come...
The band, famed for introducing Britpop to the world arena, are set to headline at the Olympic Games celebrations in London's Hyde Park later this summer. And we, for once, can't wait to get our groove on with the Parklife boys!
The band were awarded with the Outstanding Contribution To Music Award at last night's Brit Awards and are to be honoured even further; they are to headline at the celebrations of the Olympic Games' closing ceremony.
The band promised NME that the show would definitely be one to remember:
"It'll be a proper party. It's the closing night of the Olympics. Our raison d'etre is to provide another celebration of a fantastic day."
We have absolutely no doubt about it; the band performed an 11 minute medley of their best tunes at last night's Brit Awards and completely stole the show. It seems as if true talent is never tarnished by age...
Make sure you brush up on your Blur tunes ahead of August 21st!
