Florence Welch (she of "and the Machine" fame) has recalled a drunken night when she met Beyonce.

Or, at least, she's attempted to recall it.

"Beyonce was just really, really sweet," she told The Sun. "I think I vaguely remember tequila and then apparently me and Beyonce were talking for an hour or two in this place."

She elaborated: "I'm such a huge fan, I think it would have been one of the best conversations of my life, but I can't remember what it was about, because when she met my sister at another event, she was so polite and friendly.

"Beyonce said to her, 'Oh, hi Grace, I've heard so much about you'. I wonder exactly what I was saying."

Florence is nominated for the prestigious Mastercard British Album prize at tonight's Brit Awards, due to air at 8pm on ITV1.
