Bobby Brown will attend the funeral of his ex-wife Whitney Houston this weekend after he family reached out to him at the last minute.
The star, who was married to the multi-award winning singer for 15 years, will accompany his daughter Bobbi Kristina to the funeral in New Jersey this Saturday.
Whitney’s family had been against the rapper’s appearance because they blamed him, in part, for her drug addiction and subsequent fall from grace TMZ reports.
But they have now had a change of heart at the last minute and feel it would be right for the 43 year-old to attend.
An insider told TMZ: "At the last minute, the family felt that it would keep the peace at the funeral [to have Bobby there] even though some family members were against it."
The singer has yet to confirm that he will attend the funeral, but with the family’s blessing it seems it is now more than likely.
The father of six will have a busy day though as he is performing that evening in Connecticut with his band, ‘New Editions’.
Bobby pulled out of several shows earlier this week following the death of his ex-wife in order to return to Los Angeles to care for their only child, 18 year-old Bobbi Kristina.
The teenager was hospitalised twice in the 24 hours after her mother’s shocking death and is said to be coping badly with the sudden loss.
