Janet Jackson Wows Fans
Janet Jackson has hinted that she will be joining the panel of The X Factor USA when it returns later this year.
There are currently rumoured to be two spare seats on the panel after Nicole Scherzinger and Paula Abdul were both axed after the first series.Simon Cowell is currently the only confirmed judge with LA Reid said to be close to a deal to return.
Rumours have been flying about who could be taking up the empty seats and the star didn’t exactly deny it when asked about the possibility during an interview with Anderson Cooper on US television.
According to Cover Media, the star said: “No I''m not a judge on The X Factor."
When asked if that meant “currently” the star replied: “No, I am not, but that's all I really think I should say.”
The 45 year-old clearly didn’t want to give anything away but did imply that while she may not currently be a judge she maybe in the future.
Another star who is said to be considering joining Simon and is UK X Factor judge Kelly Rowland. A show insider told the Daily Mail that the Destiny’s Child singer is hoping to make the switch after failing to connect with UK viewers.
They revealed: “'Kelly has got to go. She was not right for the show.” “The producers didn't like her and her commitment level wasn't there. There's an understanding she didn't work on the panel.”
Katy Perry, Beyonce Knowles and Mariah Carey have all been linked to the job. Simon Cowell also confirmed that Whitney Houston had been in talks to become a judge before her untimely death last weekend.
