Emeli Sande has landed the coveted support slot on Coldplay's US tour.
The winner of this year's Critics' Choice Award at the Brits, due to land at No. 1 in the UK album chart this weekend with Our Version Of Events, will join Chris Martin and co when they play across the Atlantic later this year.
Speaking to the Daily Star, she gushed: "Coldplay have been so supportive of me, they treat me very well. I want to take my music as far as I can so I will be doing some shows there in March."
Discussing the Critics' Choice Award, she continued: "The award sits on my piano as inspiration when I'm songwriting. There are always some surprises on the night. I won't be performing at the actual Brits but maybe I will play at some of the after-parties."
Coldplay's album Mylo Xyloto hit No. 1 in both the UK and US last October.
