Taylor Swift is over the moon after winning two awards at the 2012 Grammys!
There's nothing better than being recognised for your efforts and, for Taylor Swift, last night's Grammy wins meant far more than just another award.
After winning the Best Country Solo Performance for “Mean”, Miss Swift made her point eloquently and with a big smile on her face:
“There’s nothing like writing a song about someone who’s really mean to you and makes you life miserable... and then winning a Grammy for it.”
The song, rumoured to be aimed at music critic Bob Leftsetz, who frequently accuses Swift of being unable to sing, didn't just pick up one accolade. It also scored Best Country Song, allowing Taylor to return to the stage and make a second acceptance speech, this time thanking everyone from her fans to the clapping audience.
Taylor Swift has said that she is 'floating' after winning her two awards, tweeting a fun pic of herself posing with her new baubles for her fans. We bet the news gave her a pick-me-up after it was revealed she hadn't scored a role in the upcoming screen version of West End musical Les Misérables.
And Kanye West wasn't anywhere nearby to rain all over her parade!
Maybe 2012 is going to be Taylor's year?
