If sources are to be believed, Brit rapper M.I.A. has split from her fiancé...

The Sun has reported that M.I.A has split from the father of her two-year-old son. It has been presumed that, if this is the case, it will be due to the fact that they spend so much time apart.

The 'Paper Planes' singer, whose real name is Mathangi Arulpragasam, spends most of her time in London. However her partner, Benjamin Bronfman, is living in his hometown of New York, along with their son Ikhyd. 

M.I.A has had a busy few weeks; she spent much of her time rehearsing for her guest appearance at the Madonna Super Bowl halftime show, where she, Madge and Nicki Miniaj performed their new single 'Give Me All Your Luvin'.

However, M.I.A caused massive controversy when she stuck her middle finger up at cameras during the live performance, causing a wealth of complaints and unleashing Madonna's fury.

The singer has been with Benjamin for five years; fingers crossed this is just The Sun blowing a lover's tiff out of proportion!
