Nicki Minaj fans are desperate to get their claws into the new music of her upcoming album 'Pink Friday: Roman Reloaded' and they may just be in luck...
Yesterday, the song ‘Marilyn Monroe’ leaked on the Internet and seems very unlike anything of Minaj's we've heard before.
Goodbye high-powered rapping. Hello soft piano and soulful vocals!
The song seems to have been inspired by the troubled actress of the title, with Minaj singing about her own insecurities and character flaws:
“Take me or leave me, I’ll never be perfect. Believe me, I’m worth it, so take me or leave me.”
Wow. That sounds pretty deep; okay, it's nothing like Minaj's previous tracks and, sure, it feels a little dated, but it's actually a pretty gorgeous song. It gives a softer side to Nicki, behind all the swagger and sexiness of her previous hits, and we're pretty sure fans will get excited about it.
