Ed Sheeran has been announced as the headliner of a unique charity concert which will also feature an acoustic performance from Blur's Damon Albarn and Graham Coxon.
Held in conjunction with the BRIT Awards, the Warchild fundraiser will take place at London's Shepherd's Bush Empire two days before the awards ceremony on Feb 19th. Sheeran, who is up for four awards on the night, spoke aboutbeing asked to play, saying:
"War Child does amazing music events for such a great cause. To be asked to play this year is an absolute honour."
Meanwhile, Ben Knowles of Warchild added: "This year's amazing line-up will make for a stunning, unforgettable night and one that will raise money to help thousands of children affected by war."
Tickets for the concert go on sale at 9am on Saturday, February 4th.
