Emeli Sande has revealed that she has yet to meet Simon Cowell, even though she has written tracks for some of his biggest artists.

Singer-songwriter Emeli, who is about to release her own stunning album 'Our Version Of Events' is known to be a favourite of Cowell's and he has hired her to write tracks for Cher Lloyd, Leona Lewis and Susan Boyle and recently.

However, this does not mean that Emeli and Cowell are BFFs, as she told the Daily Star.

“I’m going to try to do something for Simon. But I still have to meet him. We haven’t actually been in the same room.

Adding: “I’ve only ever been approached through his people so it would be good to say hello. But if I get the time to write for his projects I’d love to.”

Emeli has also landed herself the plum job of writing tracks for the original line-up of the Sugababes, who reunited recently.
