Rihanna has denied that she got the phrase 'Thug Life' tattooed on her knuckles but did reveal that she is getting a new tattoo in Tibetan.

The 'You Da One' star took to Twitter last night to speak with her fans, with many having questions about the 2Pac inspired tattoo she had posted pictures of earlier in the week. However, Rihanna appeared to deny having the ink done in any visible way, saying the letters have 'no shade'.

"I #LOVE my new tattoo!!! Can't wait for yall to see it!!! I got it in 'Tibetan' this time!!! #approved," she Tweeted.

"Chill babes #noshade. Err'body has an opinion, but yall know what yall can do with them!!! #THUGLIFE (sic)"

Rihanna later joked: "I'm thinking I shoulda got a tear drop instead!!! #THUGLIFE maybe next time. "All eyes on Rih, betta picture me rollin' #THUGLIFE."

Rihanna was praised for her acting in new movie Battleship earlier this week.
