Simon Cowell is set to discover the next David Guetta or Calvin Harris with his new TV talent show.
Labelling DJ's as 'the new rockstars', Cowell has teamed up with Jada Pinket Smith and her production company Overbrook to work on an as-yet-untitled show that will see up and coming producers and club DJ's face off in an X Factor style battle for success.
In a statement issued by both Syco and Overbrook, Cowell said: We have been working on this show for over a year and we wanted to partner with the right people. As soon as I met Jada and Miguel from Overbrook, I knew they would be our ideal partners. DJ’s are the new rock stars, it feels like the right time to make this show.”
Meanwhile, Smith added: “This show will comb the world to find a new breed of talent. I am happy to be creating it alongside Simon Cowell, the Sony team, and my partner Miguel Melendez, on behalf of the Overbrook family."
A broadcast partner for the show is due to be announced for both the UK and USA shortly.
