Jay-Z, Maroon 5 and To Help Barack Obama In Re-Election Bid?

President releases wish list of stars he wants as support...

By Jamal Guthrie on Tuesday 17th January 2012

President Barack Obama is courting the help of some famous musicians in his bid for a second term as U.S President.

Obama received plenty of endorsement from the likes of Jay-Z in the 2008 Presidential race and he has now released a list of artists he'd like on his team this time around.

Predictably, Jay-Z is there again and he is joined by, Adam Levine and Alicia Keys. There's also a request for Ricky Martin and the Jonas Brothers to join Team Obama.

Lady Gaga is already a supporter of the President; she recently attended a party fund raising event.

There are a number of diverse names across the list but it shows the power of celebrity.

It isn't yet known what role Obama wants his wishlist to play. Maybe the artists will pen a few campaign supporting songs? Lady Gaga for campaign stylist?
