Michelle Keegan has hit out at tabloid newspapers which suggested she was set to split from her fiancee, The Wanted's Max George.

Coronation Street actress Keegan took to Twitter on Sunday (Jan 15) after reading reports which claimed her relationship with Max was on the rocks following a string of rows and her jealousy over The Wanted's female fan base.

I've just read another false story...Me and Max ARE still together, there's been no 'bust-ups'...or 'jealous rows'," Michelle wrote. "I haven't 'CALLED OFF' the wedding, because we never set a date in the 1st place!

Adding: "Me and Max are happy...this weekend has just PROVED once again that u can't believe everything u read in the press. Aaaaand breathe, :) (sic)."

Michelle, who plays Tina McIntyre on the ITV soap, went on to say she can't win when it comes to the press.

"And what makes me laugh is that if we show any affection in public, people say 'we're doing it for the cameras' but if we're...pictured without a cheesy grin plastered in our faces 'our relationship is on the rocks' Can't win!!! Rant over!! :))."

The Wanted have recently revealed that they're going to hang out with Mike Tyson in Las Vegas on an upcoming trip.
