Selena Gomez and Ke$ha both took to Twitter yesterday to reveal their new hair looks for 2012.

First up was Selena who debuted a new purple tinged look with the help of extensions. Tweeting to thank her friends who gave her the makeover, Selena said: "Change is good... My girls @ninezeroone take care of me always :) LOVE"

The teen star then posted this picture of her new hair:

Ke$ha, meanwhile, took a more extreme approach to her new look - showcasing a fashion forward, half shaved head.

Tweeting her fans about the new look the 'Tik Tok' star said: "animals! I just shaved the side of my head! wanna see a pic???" Adding: "new year. New album. New hair. Get pumped."
