Mariah Carey's husband Nick Cannon has had a speedy recovery after being hospitalised with kidney failure last week.

The diva's husband has recently been ill in hospital with 'mild kidney failure' but is now recovering back at home. He had to be rushed  to hospital while they enjoyed a family skiing trip  in Aspen Colorado. Mariah joined by her twins Monroe and Moroccan had no choice but to cancel their trip and support her husband through his illness.

Mariah took to Twitter to express her feelings towards Nick.

“Please pray for Nick as he's fighting to recover from a mild kidney failure. #mybraveman”

She then added a photo of herself and Cannon on the hospital bed and has been by Cannon’s side in Colorado the entire time.

Carey  also said that the medical personnel 'tried to kick me out of the hospital,' but that they failed in getting her to leave 'Mr. C’s' side.

Fortunately Mariah's mother, Patricia Carey lives in Aspen and so was on hand to help her daughter during the last week.

Mariah has tweeted her husbands recovery every step of the way and has continued to thank fans for their support.

'Up w/NC watching@BishopJakes -a true inspiration as always. Nick is getting better+we love+appreciate all the ongoing kind words!'

'We're trying to be as festive as possible under the circumstances but please keep Nick in your thoughts because this is very painful,' the singer wrote.

'We're doing OK but we're "straaaaaanded in Aspen". #DramaticDivaPlace (I know, we could be in a lot worse places),' continued Carey. 'But, the truth is as long as we're together, we're OK.'

Her last request to her fans was to 'keep us and our family in your prayers.

The cause of Cannon's kidney failure is still unknown but a doctor may have had to remove or bypass a blockage in the urinary tract.
