Join us as we introduce you to the ten acts we think will be illuminating the pop world with their brilliant music, stunning performances and huge debut albums in 2012. Number eight on the list is the latest Grime star looking to make the charts his own.
2011 was Wretch 32 and Tinie Tempah did it twelve months before him - will this year see Dot Rotten follow in their illustrious footsteps? We think you would be a fool to bet against him.
Rotten made his name on the streets of South London (no, he's not from Walford) and established himself with a series of underground mixtapes and instrumental tracks named 'Rotten Riddims'. However, he has since moved up to the A-List and signed a big record deal and will release his first single proper, 'Keep It On A Low', later this month.
Typical of his hard and direct style, Rotten takes no prisoners on the single and, as you can hear, has combined it with a melodic edge that has already seen radio playlists clambering to add his name to their schedule.
You can also hear a sneak preview of Rotten's next single, 'Are You Not Entertained', which received it's world premiere this week and will be released in March. It's a sure fire hit, we think you'll agree.
