Join us as we introduce you to the ten acts we think will be illuminating the pop world with their brilliant music, stunning performances and huge debut albums in 2012. Our third tip is Miss Emeli Sande - the girl most likely to...
Not many of the artists we're tipping for success in 2012 have already had a number one single but Emeli Sande is... well she's the only one.
Yes, it's hard to deny that Sande has already 'made it' but we have a sneaky feeling that this time next year we'll look back on a number one with Professor Green on 'Read All About It' as the start of something far bigger for this super talented singer-songwriter.
Emeli has also tasted success on her own terms with the release of her debut single 'Heaven' seeing the Scottish born star catapulted into the top ten and hitting the top ten PopDash singles of 2011. A further single, 'Daddy's Boy', followed but we just know that Sande's album will see her got stratospheric with success.
Sande has worked with Tinie Tempah and written ballads for the likes of Leona Lewis and Susan Boyle (Simon Cowell loves her) and her debut album, 'Our Version Of Events', is packed full of the sort of songs you can expect to hear soundtracking heartbreak and sorrow on TV - England's inevitable exit from 2012 perhaps?
With a BRIT Critics Choice Award to collect from previous winner Jessie J in February and the release of her album in the same month we can't help feeling it could be Professor Green and Tinie Tempah calling up their old pal for a leg up from their A-List buddy this time next year.
Emeli Sande - Our Version Of Events is released on February 13th through EMI.
