Dizzee Rascal has been spending time in the atudio with Benji Madden this week as he goes for a heavier sound on his new material.

Rascal is due to release his next album in 2012 and is recording in London at the moment. Madden, who is a member of pop-punk band Good Charlotte and once dated Paris Hilton, joined him in the studio this week and kept his fans up to date via Twitter.

"Man just left @DizzeeRascal studio and he has some fire ready to go strictly for his fans. So cold man, Y'all r gonna love it," Tweeted Madden last night (Dec 15).

Madden has also Tweeted about spending time with Tinie Tempah and members of hardcore band Gallows during his time in London this week.

Dizzee Rascal spoke about moving more towards rock music earlier this year, saying he would like to work with Foo Fighters lead singer Dave Grohl.
