Kanye West leads the way in the 2012 Grammy nominations, up for an impressive seven awards but he will face stiff competition from the likes of Adele, Bruno Mars and Lady Gaga.
Kanye will go into battle with himself for Rap Album of the Year, with his solo effort, My Beautiful Dark Twisted Fantasy, up against his collaboration with Jay-Z, Watch the Throne. Knowing Kanye's volatile nature, it's hard to say whether he'd be happy for one of the albums to win or outraged that he couldn't pick up two awards in the same category.
The coveted album of the year award will be contested by Adele, Bruno Mars, Foo Fighters, Rihanna and Lady Gaga.
Elsewhere in the 54th annual Grammy award ceremony, Adele's 'Rolling in the Deep' and Bruno Mars' 'Grenade' are nominated for Record of the Year.
Those two are also up for Best Pop Solo Performance alongside Lady Gaga, Katy Perry and Pink.
Amy Winehouse is nominated for a posthumous award for Best Pop Duo/Group Performance for her 'Body and Soul' duet with Tony Bennett.
Rihanna has a chance of winning four awards, including Album of the Year and Song of the Year.
Nicki Minaj is nominated for Best New Artist alongside J. Cole, while Kings Of Leon are nominated for Best Rock Album.
