Girls Aloud Are 'Not My Friends' says Nadine Coyle

Northern Irish singer and Cheryl Cole have never been close claims a friend...

Nadine Coyle has quashed rumours of a potential Girls Aloud reunion by claiming she is no longer on speaking terms with the rest of the band.

The 26 year old told Heat magazine, "They're not my friends. I don't speak to them or socialise with them."

"I have my own friends that I've grown up with and the girls are very much my colleagues," she added. "I wouldn't socialise with them outside of work."

A close friend believes much of the animosity stems from conflict between the Northern Irish singer and Cheryl Cole. "Nadine and Cheryl have never been close, and they're not about to start now," the friend said. "They are two very different people who were forced upon each other in the band .

Cheryl has always despised the fact that Nadine has a better voice than her and was always given lead vocals,' the source added, 'but the sad truth is it doesn't matter as Cheryl's had a string of hits and Nadine's solo career has fallen flat on its face. Nadine is shocked at how well Cheryl has done."

In the interview the friend also claims any contact between Nadine and the rest of the band is done "through her management."

It remains to be seen whether Coyle will reconcile her differences. The other four girls are often snapped partying together and Cheryl allegedly visted former bandmate Sarah Harding in rehab recently.
