Band will not be performing...

By Harry Hamburg on Wednesday 5th October 2011

Black Eyed Peas have backed out of their performance at Saturday's Michael Jackson tribute concert.

The hip-hop four-piece have had to leave the event's lineup due to “unavoidable circumstances”.

Global Live Events chief executive, Chris Hunt confirmed the speculation today, saying: “It is with regret that we announce the removal of Black Eyed Peas from the Michael Forever bill, but I look forward to a great night with other earth shattering artists,” adding, “The event is really getting into gear and is going to be a fantastic evening for all.”

Even with Black eyed Peas' shock departure the tribute concert still has an incredible lineup, including Pixie Lott, Leona Lewis, Alexandra Burke, Cee Lo Green, Christina Aguilera, JLS, and perhaps most importantly, Alien Ant Farm.

JLS' Marvin recently spoke of his excitement about the show: “To say it's a dream come true is an understatement. I'm the biggest Michael Jackson fan and he's the reason I started singing. To be assosciated with him and to be performing at this concert is amazing. We've always been performing Michael Jackson songs and to do that on the world stage with so many amazing artists is incredible.”

Fearne Cotton and Jamie Foxx will host the concert, which takes place at Cardiff's Millenium Stadium on Saturday, October 8th.
