Calvin Harris was revealed that he was warned by Rihanna's army – sorry, navy – of followers that her next single, 'We Found Love' had “better not be rubbish”.
The Scottish hitmaker told Capital FM, “It was crazy all the fans on Twitter, tweeting me saying: 'The song better not be rubbish' before they heard it,” adding, “There were some mild threatening nature to them, but it's all part of the fun. She sounds great on it.”
Before the single's first play on Thursday Rihanna tweeted: “I'm EXCITED, NERVOUS, ANXIOUS! I cud throw up.”
Luckily for Harris, Rihanna's “Navy” thought the collaboration was fantastic, prompting this response from the 27-year-old producer, “"Wowow many good comments about song with @Rihanna so happy u like it, i told u she sounded like an angel! Thanks #RihannaNavy.”
Rihanna's as yet unnamed upcoming album is released on November 21, amid rumours of 'We Found Love' being available from October 11.
