Taylor Momsen has claimed that her life is so hectic she rarely has time to wash properly.

The Pretty Reckless star spends her days dressed in the shortest of shirts and is never far from a trowel full of make-up so we'd assumed she'd have a lot of grime to scrub away come bed time but apparently not.

Asked by Elle what her beauty essentials are, Taylor admitted she doesn't really have any: 'I tend not to bring a lot. [Just] a lot of black eyeshadow," she told the magazine. Adding: "and dry shampoo because a lot of the time you don't have time to wash your hair or shower, it's very chaotic."

Momsen also admitted she won't be returning to Gossip Girl as she is not even acting any more.

"I quit acting, actually. I quit Gossip Girl and now tour and am in a band and that's pretty much all I want to do,' she said.

'Hopefully I'll be able to only do that for the rest of my life.'

Or until the gigs dry up and our favourite fake rebel remembers her 'dream' of acting?
