As London suffered a third night of violent attacks and riots, some of the biggest names in pop took to their Twitter pages to speak to their followers about what was going on.

Here is a short summary of some of what has been said over the last few days, including comment from JLS, Tinie Tempah, Jessie J, Professor Green, Example and Chipmunk.

Tinie Tempah: 'The more riots the more repressive action will take place & the more we face the danger of a right-wing & eventually a fascist society' MLK

Lily Allen: people aren't born evil.Yes, these kids might be past the pointof help, but we need to take responsibility for future generations

JLS: herd about the riots in London, pleas travel safely guys. ORITSE x

Calvin Harris: A lot of these kids have role models in music + a lot of these role models are staying quiet. They need to speak the fuck up +help stop this

Justin Bieber: WHOAH...been out of the loop all day. to all the people of the UK I hope you are ok. my prayers go out to you and the amazing people there.

Jessie J: In my opinion we need to discussing how to prevent this happening again. Really understanding why these people have done this...Young & old.

Tulisa: praying for family's that have lost their homes & innocent people caught up in all this, sad times, god bless x

Nicki Minaj: Peace be with London

Leona Lewis: Just watching buildings burn and NO FIRE SERVICES and NO POLICE will come and put the fire out! Madness! They are just letting it burn down.

Chipmunk: Lord watch over all my loved ones. X

Example: This is the saddest thing I've seen in ages. Especially watching on Sky News from a foreign country. Feel embarrassed to be a Londoner

Professor Green: i really hope people band together to put this right with as much enthusiasm.
