Charlie Sheen and Irish pop duo Jedward are amongst the names being linked to the forthcoming series of Celebrity Big Brother in the UK.

The show, which launches at the end of August, will be the first on Channel 5 and producers are keen to launch with the biggest bang possible, hence the Charlie Sheen rumours. Word has it the controversial actor will be paid £6M to enter the show.

"It would be unbelievable, a producer's dream," a source told the Daily Star.

Adding: "No-one would want to miss the chance of seeing what he is up to and hear the wacky things he's saying. And let's face it, he's been saying some crazy stuff recently."

Other stars linked to the show include Snoop Dogg, Tim Westwood, Lembit Opik, Kerry Katona and the Duchess of York, Sarah Ferguson.
