George Michael has alleged that disgraced newspaper News Of The World recieved all of their information for stories from the police.
The claims were made by George yesterday, the day News International opted to close NOTW after allegations of phone hacking were made public. The full extent of the hacking is, as yet, unknown but taking to his Twitter page George claimed to have spoken to former editor Rebekah Brooks at a dinner party at his house.
Those of you that have wondered why I have had nothing to say this week about Rupert Murdoch, all i can say is that the time will come." he Tweeted,
Adding: "Rebekah Brooks sat two feet from me in my own home and told me that it was never the public that came to them with information on celebrities, and that the Police always got there first. I think thats enough to be going on with. (Don't ask me how she got there).."
Before signing off with the epic, "Believe me I didnt invite her."
In one of the biggest media scandals of modern times, it is alleged that NOTW journalists hacked into the phones and voicemail of murdered teenager Milly Dowler and the relatives of soldiers killed in Afghanistan.
