Mark Ronson has claimed that he nearly died after eating raw liver recently.

The slickly dressed producer was working in the studio with rock band Black Lips on a track called 'Raw Meat' when the inevitable conversation happened and Mark ended up with uncooked produce between his teeth.

Next thing Mark knew, he was in hospital with a dangerously high fever.

"I thought maybe I was hungover or something. Then I started shivering uncontrollably. The next thing, the band are putting all these blankets over me. I wake up an hour later, just f***ing moaning and groaning." Ronson told NME.

"One of them touched my skin and they were like, 'Listen dude, we've got to get you to a hospital'.

"When I was there I was diagnosed with something with a lot of syllables in it - endorhinitis, or something like that. I almost died. But I don't think it was intentional on their part."

Ronson's next venture is the slightly less dangerous Black Tie Ball which he is helping Alicia Keys host in June at Camden's Roundhouse in Lonson.
