Rihanna has payed tribute to Bob Marley on the 30th anniversary of his death.
Hitting Twitter, Rihanna send a string of messages praising the reggae star and thanked him for opening doors for musicians three decades after he died.
"Bob we miss&LOVE u! U made this lil journey of mine possible by blessin the world wit ur legend,which lives on thru generations to come RIP" said the 'Only Girl' star, adding:
"U live on thru music and culture, as a girl from a small island under the sun, I owe it to you for breaking MAJAH barriers for us."
Rihanna, who was not even born when Marley died, went on to lament the fact she could never have seen Marley perform live, saying: "isnt it a trip to know that your great grandkids will STILL know all of Bob Marley's songs? Wish I saw him live, maybe next time."
Earlier this week Rihanna dropped her 'California King Bed' video online.
