50 Cent upset some of his fans this weekend when he Tweeted insensitive jokes about the earthquake and tsunami in Japan.

Tweeting over the weekend, 50 said: "Look this is very serious people I had to evacuate all my hoe's from LA,Hawaii and Japan. I had to do it. Lol"

Japan has been devastated by both an earthquake and a subsequent tsunami since Friday. The earthquake, said to be the fourth largest of all time, has taken an estimated 2,800 lives.

Realising his mistake (or being told he was an idiot by his followers, 50 apologised by saying:

"Some of my tweets are ignorant I do it for shock value. Hate it or love it. I'm cool either way 50cent (sic),"

Which makes it all OK, right?
