Katie Waissel might be out of the X Factor but don't think that's the last you've heard of her. Oh no, the singer has already caused a fresh controversey, allegedly rowing with mentor Cheryl Cole about her song choices this past weekend.

It's claimed that Katie thinks singing Kings Of Leon's hit single 'Sex On Fire', just one week after it was revealed that her Grandmother has been working as a prostitute, was the reason she was eliminated from the show.

It is claimed by the Daily Star that Katie believed 'Sex On Fire' to be a "Kiss of death" to which Cheryl Cole said, "Lump it."

Putting aside the fact that NOBODY talks like that, there may be some truth in the story. Who in their right mind thought singing 'Sex On Fire' like a drunk woman in a pub was a good idea?

Oh right, Simon Cowell did. He praised Katie on the show, saying: "Only you, after the week you've had, could come out on that stage and sing 'Sex On Fire'." which left Katie reportedly feeling: "angry and humiliated".

Returning to 'Sex On Fire' gate, a source told the Star: "Katie didn't want to sing it - she knew people would be having a laugh at her expense. She was devastated and thinks Cheryl has proved that she doesn't care about anyone but Cher, who she has dubbed her 'mini-me'."

Are Kings Of Leon to blame for Katie's exit? or has this just been on the cards for weeks. Perhaps Katie should think herself lucky, all she got was voted off - at least no pigeons pooped on her.
