La Roux Declares Electro-Pop 'Over'

La Roux's Elly Jackson has declared that electro-pop and 80's nostalgia is over and that she is keen to move on for the bands next album.

"The whole genre is ... done with", Elly told Spinner. "If I see anything more 80s-themed, I'm going to bust."

The In For The Kill star added: "It was my thing and [now] I'm bored with it ... I don't want to make synth music for the rest of my f*cking life."

Speaking about La Roux's upcomign second album, Elly said: "I want it to be more human, more open, warmer,. I'm impatient for a new direction."
